to heat your room

Portuguese homes lose heat fast: single glazing, uninsulated walls, tiled floors. Heating all that air is a losing battle. So we don’t fight it. We warm you.

Asked honestly, answered honestly

Which rug goes on top?
Your own ordinary rug: wool, cotton, jute, low or medium pile. We make the heated underlay to the exact size of the rug, so nothing shows around it. Avoid rugs with a rubber or foam backing: they hold the warmth back. The rug in our photos is not included.
What does it cost to run?
At full power and 0.17 €/kWh: about €0.09 an hour for 155 × 230 (520 W), €0.13 for 180 × 250 (780 W) and €0.14 for 200 × 300 (832 W). Six hours a day for a month is €16–25. Try your own numbers in the calculator.
Can it stay on overnight?
Yes. It is built for continuous use and the surface stays around 40 °C, warm to the palm, never hot. If you go away for several days, pull the plug. Never cover it with a mattress, a duvet or piles of cushions: trapped heat damages the film.
Can furniture stand on it?
A desk with an office chair on castors, yes: that is one of the reasons it exists. A sofa or a table on wide feet, yes. Wardrobes, ladders and anything heavy on thin pointed legs, no: point pressure crushes the layers.
How is it made and delivered?
We assemble every rug to order in Cascais: felt, graphene film, insulation, edges, cord, then an electrical test. It takes 3–4 weeks, and it travels rolled; the delivery cost depends on the destination and is confirmed with your order. Details: delivery and returns.
How do I pay?
Send the order request. We reply with the delivery date and a secure Stripe payment link, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Nothing is charged before you pay that link.
My rug is a different size. Can you make it?
Yes. Your rug is another size? We make the underlay to its exact measurements, at about 260 W per square metre of film. Write the size in the order form and we reply with the price.
